CAP
CAP EQ TRAQ® IN TRAQ® LOAD TRAQ® BEC & HDI

The Capital Asset Performer (CAP) Program evaluates and organizes the repair and maintenance expense associated with the operational systems of the facility. The CAP Program includes coverage for (but is not limited to) clinical equipment, computer systems, plant equipment, and telecommunications.

Key Benefits

Fifteen to twenty-five percent (15 - 25%) cost reduction in contract maintenance expenses. This represents real dollars saved that go directly and immediately to your organization bottom line

Shared Savings - Under this feature (first introduced to American hospitals by ABGI), the hospital is rewarded for controlling repair maintenance expenses by receiving back a percentage of the program costs.

Reports are regularly generated that provide hospital managers with the information necessary to make prudent equipment-related decisions. These reports may aid in evaluating future equipment budget decisions, identifying repair maintenance incidents that affect the profitability of each department, etc.

Services Provided

The basic services provided by ABGI's CAP Program fall into three categories: Equipment Survey, Administrative and Management Services, and Consultation.

Equipment Survey

ABGI's service to the hospital begins with a comprehensive onsite review of all of the hospital's   equipment. The equipment's age, condition, and maintenance history for the last two years are assessed.

Administrative and Management Services

American Biomedical Group, Inc. provides a payment control system to process and review all services to be paid for under the program. The ongoing services provided by ABGI include the following:

Review of service reports and invoices by our biomedical engineers familiar with the technology.

Review of all service reports and invoices for service completion, accuracy of material, and labor charges.

Review of vendor invoices for parts not credited on service invoices.

Regular financial reports documenting all receipts and disbursements.

Regular engineering analyses which identify potential trouble areas and suggest possible solutions.

Consultation Services

ABGI engineers routinely review all service reports and are available to assist on any question regarding maintenance process or expense. Our client services personnel regularly consult with appropriate members of the customer's staff to determine the overall level of satisfaction with the program. Education and training consultation is also available to assist our clients in identifying problems within the maintenance process and in working creatively and cooperatively with client staff to arrive at workable solutions.
